Mumbai: MuSo to Organise a Literature Festival for Children | Frontlist

On February 24, Tanvi Jindal Shete, founder of MuSo, stated that the festival promotes storytelling and encourages youngsters to read, listen, and create new stories.

The Museum of Solutions (MuSo) will host a one-of-a-kind children's literary festival in Mumbai on Saturday, February 24. The festival will feature some of the most current Indian children's novels that young readers would appreciate. It will include 16 sessions, each aimed to provide a varied selection of books to children aged 4 to 12.

Tanvi Jindal Shete, founder of MuSo, stated that the festival honours the art of storytelling while encouraging youngsters to read, listen, and create new stories. India's rich, absorbing literature has the potential to "empower the younger generation to imagine new possibilities and motivate them to change the world," she said.

Peek-a-Book Children's Literature Festival

At the event, actor Soha Ali Khan will tell stories to children developed in partnership with Kunal Khemu, while award-winning children's novelist Bijal Vachharajani will inspire youngsters to think about climate change through her book 'When Fairyland Lost Its Magic'. Vibha Batra, a Chennai-based author, will analyse gender prejudices through folk dance, while Ashifa Sarkar Vasi will teach children ballet.

Katie Bagli, the author, will develop interesting activities based on natural symbiotic relationships. The festival will also serve as a launch event for four books. Ashok Rajagopalan will release the fifth installment of the Gajapati Kulapati series, titled 'Gajapati Kulapati Kweee', while Anushka Ravishankar, an award-winning children's novelist, will release the latest book in her 'Smarty Pants' series.

Devika Cariapa, an archaeologist and winner of the Sahitya Akademi Bal Puraskar Award, and novelist Anand Neelakantan will also present their new books, 'A Children's History of India in 100 Objects' and 'Mahi The Elephant Who Flew Over the Blue Mountains'.

Curator Lubaina Bandukwala stated, "Peek A Book is all about expanding children's brains and instilling curiosity about the world around them. We are happy that Peek A Book ambitions resonate with everything MuSo aspires to do. We are delighted to be mission partners with them through the Children's Literature Festival.
